Blurb Giveaway

blurb

So I’m really excited today to announce that we are hosting our first ever WBZL giveaway and oh boy are you in for a treat! Having long admired the lovely books by Blurb, I was thrilled when the company got in touch to offer 5 lucky readers the chance to win a £30 voucher. You lucky devils!

Blurb have created an ingenious system that allows you to create your very own book. The books can display a mixture of photographs, artwork and/or text and are perfect for creating a really special wedding keepsake. There are a million and one ways to use Blurb in relation to your nuptials but I especially love the idea of creating a book that is passed around during the drinks reception that tells the story of how you met and got together. I also love, love, love the thought of creating customised fairytale books to keep the little ones entertained during dinner.

If you’d like the chance of winning one of the vouchers just leave a comment explaining what you’d put in your book (doesn’t have to be wedding related) and the winners will be chosen at random and announced here next Monday the 22nd of Feb.

Good luck!

I’m putting together an anniversary present (5 years) for my fiance containing a photo story of our lives together (so far!) :)

I would put together a diary of all the things I loved, cherised, moments special to me, things that have inspired me, secrets, things I regret – the whole lot – and leave to my children when they are old enough to want to find out about the woman that’s mum.

I’m getting married in April and it would be wonderful to get our pictures printed in a Blurb book – we live on a boat and a traditional album wouldn’t be very happy with all the humidity!

We’re putting together a personalised guest book for our wedding – each guest will have their photo in the book and it means they can write a message next to their picture! I just thought it makes it a bit different from the obvious, normal guest books, although its hard work sourcing all the photos!

Although I am totally obsessed with our wedding at the moment, I think that I would make a book out of pictures I’ve taken of our little rescue cat, Elvis.

He is our baby and gets up to all sorts, most definitely a book-worth feline if ever I saw one!

I would like this for my daughter’s nuptuals later this year – what a wonderful keepsake

I am getting married to my fiancé Christopher in August. I would love to put together a little book of memories as a wedding gift for him, including little notes we have given to each other, stories of things we have shared together and photos of us over the last 7 years we have been together. Something really personal he can cherish!

  8. Jo on February 17th, 2010:

Thanks so much! I am planning my wedding and we were going to make blurb books for the parents afterwards, so this would really help towards that

  9. Jessica on February 18th, 2010:

My fiancee will be getting deployed by the end of this year again and I would love to make a beautiful photo book of everything we did and everyone he loves before he leaves. It would be a very special gift to him and I know he would love it.

I would love to have a Blurb book, as our WeddingWeekend in London is going to be so special: three days full of blissful memories, a keepsake for all those days we’re not in London but back home in Holland where we can then look back and enjoy all the wonderful details…!Starting where we first met, at the www ;) until our ‘I do’. Love the story about Elvis, the little rescue cat, as well though. We have two of them…good idea! Thank you LoulaBelle! :)

I would like to put pics of my wedding in conjunction of my 11th wedding anniversary.

hmmmm it’s a tough one because there are SO many possibilities! But, I think what I’d like to do is a bit of a ’story so far’ type book for two of my uni friends, photos of us at freshers through to graduation, tickets from things we’ve been to together and then some photos of us now, 6 years on. It would be fun to have it all together in one special momento!

Photographing my work for my upcoming end of degree in textiles and surface design would be a lovely way to round off my studies and a great way to look back in future years and hopefully see how far i’ve come.
